We are so thankful for the men and women who willingly and humbly serve the Lord, our congregation and our community!

Our Pastor: Jim Perkins

Shana & Jim Perkins

Jim & Shana have been serving with ABC since September 2018 and live in Kanata with 4 of their 6 kids and 1 of their 6 grandchildren! They approach ministry and life as a team and are eager to see all that God has done and will continue to do at Almonte Baptist Church and beyond.

Jim is a huge sports fan, former athlete himself and loves singing, playing the bass, and listening to all kinds of music! Shana enjoys fitness, playing the piano, crocheting and family time at home curled up on the couch!

They’ve been married since July 1998 and have lived in the Ottawa area for almost 24 years. As mentioned, they have 6 children all together, 6 grandchildren, 3 dogs and a cat! In addition to church ministry, they founded (in 2008) and run a charitable organization that provides adaptive ice hockey program to individuals with physical and/or cognitive challenges that would prevent them from being able to play on any other team: The Capital City Condors. GO CONDORS!

Elder: Carolyn Klickermann and Servant Team Volunteer (Property): Chris Klickermann

Carolyn & Chris Klickermann

Chris and Carolyn Klickermann have been members at Almonte Baptist Church for the past 10+ years and are enjoying retirement in our beautiful community.

Chris is a retired commercial pilot but still flies over the area in a small Cessna, sharing flights with family, friends, neighbors & anyone who loves to fly!  He is a handyman for many folks having learned many ‘fix it’ skills from his Dad and during his 42 year career.  He keeps our building in good shape and always looks forward to our monthly leadership team meetings.

Carolyn has lived in Almonte for more than 40 years, retired from the insurance business but fully engaged with her community in many areas.  She enjoys cycling, tennis, gardening & playing ukulele with 20 other friends.  She especially enjoys working with the children in our church family.

Elder: Jeff Pierce

Jeff lives nearby in Dunrobin, Ontario with his wife Chantal and their two boys, Jackson and Christian.  He immigrated from Virginia, USA to Canada in 2007, where he had met his wife while traveling for work.  A full-fledged Canadian Citizen now, Jeff is right at home in the rural areas of the Ottawa Valley.

He served in the United States Marine Corps Infantry for four years, and feels very blessed to have been raised in a Christian home out in the backwoods of the Virginia countryside. He continues working in the HVAC industry in Ottawa, and is a licensed commercial Refrigeration Mechanic and Gas Technician.  Although he loves being outdoors hunting and fishing, his true passion is serving the Lord and he enjoys picking his guitar on the Worship Team. Finding ways to connect his hobbies to ministry, Jeff has greatly enjoyed playing at the summer outdoor services, adding a little country twang to the music. Organizing events at the church like the annual fishing derby and BBQs as outreach, Jeff also feels a calling as a lay preacher and desires to serve God wherever the Lord opens up the opportunity to preach.
