Special Message

We grieve deeply with our Indigenous communities at the discoveries of hundreds of unmarked graves at numerous residential schools across Canada.

We are horrified at these findings, and heartbroken for the many families who have suffered so intensely. We know that such pain grieves the very heart of God our Creator. These atrocities in no way reflect God’s heart. Jesus condemned any mistreatment of children, and we too condemn these evils.

We call on the Christian community at large, and our church family specifically, to pray, lament, grieve and stand in solidarity with our Indigenous friends and neighbours. We rely on the love of God through His Son Jesus, to heal, strengthen, guide, forgive and restore.
