Welcome to Almonte Baptist Church!

All are welcome to our weekly Sunday services which take place at 10am at 207 Reserve St in Almonte or on Facebok Live. Some folks come dressed up, some folks come dressed casual – the important thing is that we’re there! Worshiping and learning together, serving and helping each other – a family, a community. You belong here and you are welcome. Come as you are.

Our music is a combination of contemporary and traditional – so you’ll hear and sing modern worship songs and classic hymns too. We have Sunday school during the sermon for children ages 3-10 run by caring and police-checked volunteers (children stay in with us during the music, prayer and tithing portions of the service). We also have a quiet nursery room available for parents with little ones ages 3 and under who may need a space to crawl around and play or have a quiet moment.

We have a wheelchair ramp and accessible washroom, we have a sign language interpreter available (please just email us ahead of your visit to ensure we’re prepared), and we have an FM system for those with hearing difficulty.

We invite to come early or stay after the service to share a coffee with us in the hall directly behind the sanctuary.

*we also have weeknight activities at the church, check our calendar for more info!

See you Sunday!

Summer 2022!

Although we can’t meet outside like we usually do due to the construction staging area set-up in the parking lot, we hope you will join us in-person or on FB Live for our Sunday services at 10am!

All are welcome!

Youth Group Pizza and Game Night!

We are SO excited to announce our inaugural Almonte Baptist Church Youth Group event!

All youth ages 12 – 18 are welcome to join us on Friday, April 22nd at 7PM at 207 Reserve St. We’ll hang-out, eat pizza and then do a scavenger hunt in the area around the church.

Our Youth Group is open to all, whether you believe in God, or are searching, whether you attend ABC or another church, whether you don’t know what you believe or even if you believe.

Invite your friends and see you there!

Men’s Monday Night Madness (and MEAT)

Guys! You’re invited to the restart of our Mens Ministry – what better way to kick things off than with a WING NIGHT?

Invite your friends and come’on out to Almonte Baptist Church on Monday, April 25th at 6:30PM to chow down on wings, share in a Bible devotional time, and just hang-out.

See you there!

Happy New Year family and friends!

Isaiah 43:18-20 The PassionTranslation
18 “Stop dwelling on the past.
Don’t even remember these former things.
19 I am doing something brand new, something unheard of.
Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.
    Don’t you perceive it?[s]
I will make a way in the wilderness
and open up flowing streams[t] in the desert.
20 Wild beasts,[u] jackals, and owls will glorify me.[v]
For I supply streams of water in the desert
    and rivers in the wilderness
to satisfy the thirst of my people, my chosen ones”

Advent Season has begun!

November 28: The candle of Hope

December 5: The candle of Peace

December 12: The candle of Joy

December 19: The candle of Love

December 24: The Christ candle

Registration for our two Christmas Eve services (6pm and 7:30pm) will open soon – we hope you and your family will join us either in-person (registration required) or on Facebook Live.

Safety Protocols in place

We’re in constant communication with our local public health unit to ensure that we’re in compliance with the most up-to-date Covid protocols. You’ll find a sanitizing station at the entry/exit as well as disposable masks for those who forget theirs. We also practice social distancing within the building and sanitizing common surfaces before and after services.

We understand that some folks will feel most comfortable joining us from home and as such, will continue to offer our services online each week via Facebook Live. If, however, you wish to join us, our services are available at 10am each Sunday morning at 207 Reserve St. We will welcome folks into the building on a first-come first-served basis as long as there is adequate space for social distancing. If the sanctuary reaches distancing capacity, we do have an overflow area available as well.

Hebrews 10:25 NLT “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.”

We are a church that holds to the motto:

BELONG (that means everyone).

BELIEVE (we are all learning and growing in our faith journey, let’s do it together!).

BECOME (we trust that God will keep His promise to renew and transform us by the power of the Holy Spirit as we invite Him to work in our hearts and minds).

Almonte Baptist Church welcomes everyone, just as Jesus did! Special thanks to Pastor Jim and the ABC Servant Leadership Team for their hours of dedication and efforts in this matter on behalf of all of us!

It’s time to head back indoors!

This coming Sunday, October 31, 2021 we’ll be holding our first indoor service in quite some time! We’ll still be streaming on FB Live, of course, but we also look forward to welcoming folks into the sanctuary to worship and learn together in-person! Please do adhere to all Covid protocols such as a self-screening before you come, and please wear your masks until you are seated. Please social distane once inside the building and in selecting your seat as well. All surfaces will be sanitized before and after the service. In order to reduce transmission, please bring your own copy of the lyrics with you, or have them on your phone. We’re not sure we’ll have our powerpoint slides up and running in time for this week. See you Sunday!
